..that was my lesson of the day all weekend last week. and it is the gift that keeps on giving. watching you grow of course is the biggest joy, but really watching and listening to you and setting parental fears and worries aside is pure joy..(thank you May Oprah issue!!!)

papa has a new name for you.. miss sometimes.lol. because sometimes you want papa to feed you or momom to tie your hair or nai nai to change a diaper. we often hear "no papa, momom"; no momom, nai nai" "papa go" " all done night night momom" the last is truly a test for me, as I could use the 30 mins papa is offering to give by taking you down first. but that's all in the past I guess.
the best is when you want momom and papa to march to the ant song, and I offer papa relief so he can truly focus on the basketball game, and he says "it's okay honey, she won't let me sit down, I have to march". Kid you've got this place all shook up. but we love every minute and thrive on the joy and gratitude that you bring, even as we march for the 10th time around the living room.. Oh JOY!!

and establishing your place as daddy's girl more and more each day..PURE JOY. I am grateful.
